Xu Bojun's works, with their dazzling colors, extraordinary imagination, defamiliarized contexts, and metaphorical concepts, have become a beautiful landscape in the contemporary art world. His "Post-Paradise" series, featuring flowers, ingeniously blends the techniques of Chinese flower-and-bird painting with the aesthetic orientations of Western landscape and still life painting, creating a visual genealogy with post-modern and post-contemporary characteristics; the "Post-Hedonism" series boldly draws on the visual schemas of German Neo-Expressionism while integrating artistic expression symbols of Cubism, revealing the hedonistic desires and spiritual fissures of people in the post-consumerist era; furthermore, the "Post-Future" series, with its illusory colors, bizarre situations, dynamic brushstrokes, and intense textures, demonstrates intuitive thinking on the uncertainty of contemporary art and a prediction of future art development prospects. The K.S.T series, with its depiction of spiritual landscapes, makes one feel as if they are in an artistic realm full of dreams and reality.
